Size 19 (1.00 mm/US 00000) knitting needles, 12 metres/13 yards 1-ply yarn, 15 cm/6-inches 2 mm wide silk ribon
Finished size
:ck - when flat as show above = %-inch/2 cm. Neckband measures approx. 114-inches/3 C
Gauge
This is not important as dolls house dolls vary in size

This is not a suitable project for a first attempt at miniature knitting
Abbreviations
st - stitch; k - knit; p - purl; yrn - yarn round needle to make a stitch; sl - slip; sl 1 - slip next stitch from one needle to the other without working it; psso - pass slipped stitch over; k2tog - knit next 2 sts together to make one stitch; p2tog - purl next 2 sts together to make 1 stitch; p3tog - purl next 3 sts together to form one stitch; () - repeat instructions between brackets; ssk - slip next two stitches (one at a time) knitwise from left needle to right needle, insert point of left hand needles through front loops of the two stitches keeping right hand needle through stitches, then knit both stitches together to make one twisted stitch; p2togtbl - purl next two stitches together but insert needle into back of the loops to twist them as you do this; inc - increase by working twice into next stitch to make 2 stitches; sst - stocking (stockinette) stitch - one row knit one, row purl; gst - garter stitch, every row knit
BONNET
Using size 19 (1.00 mm) knitting needles cast on 25 sts. Work 3 rows gst. Row 1: (k 1, yrn, ssk, k 1, k2tog, yrn) to last st, k 1. Row 2: (p 2, yrn, p3tog, yrn, p 1) to last st, p 1. Row 3: k Row 4: (p 1, p2togtbl, yrn, p 1, yrn, p2tog) to last st, p 1.. Row 5: k2tog, (yrn, k 3, yrn, sl 1, k2tog, psso) to last 5 sts, yrn, k 3, yrn, ssk. Row 6: p Rows 3-12: rep rows 1-6 once. Row 13: cast off 8 sts, k 8, cast off 8 sts. Work back panel: With wrong side facing you, rejoin wool to 9 sts left on needle: Row 14: p4 p2tog, p 3. (8 sts) Rows 15-22: sst Row 23: k Row 24: (p2tog) to end. (4 sts) Cast off. Sew cast off edges of sides to back panel of bonnet. Pick up and knit 20 sts evenly around the neck edge of the bonnet: Nextrow:K Castoff Sew in all looseends. Sew a length of ribbon at each end of neck border as shown in photo. A small bow can be sewn at the point of joining to adddecoration if wished.
