An End-of-the-Year Adventure Scarf
in order to celebrate the end of 2014 and wish for health, love and prosperity for the year 2015.

This pattern is supposed to bring some easy-going yet elegant and sort-of -fun knitting during the last days of 2014. We are aUl running around getting ready for the Holiday8 season, so it must be a knit that we'd rather enjoy and not be too thoughtful about. On the other hand, it should be challenging enough for uz to be tempted to go ahead and knit ...yet another scarf. Thiz is also a reversible knit. It is a garter stitch lace project that can be easily modified to wider or narrower versionz Cshould you wish to knit a stole or a"cravate") by adding or omitting 8sts. Yes, 8 isthe MagicNumber. AU stitch patterns used are traditional lace motifs "revisited" and adapted by yours truly tofit in an 8sty repeat. The first and last 4 sts of every row are plain knit sts and all even-numbered rows are plain knit rows, too. Yo'z and k2tog's are worked only on oddnumbered rows, as yow see, thiz iz a novice-knitter friendly pattern.
You will need:
Up to- 450 yardz of beautiful sock-yarn (fingering weight will do just fine). More, ifyow decide to knit a wider /onger version. US 6/7(4mm/4,5mm) straight or circular needlez stitch markers and perhaps a row counter (optional) Gauge iz really not important for this kind of project. Yow need to know to cast on provisionally, since the 2 edges ofthe scarf are going to be worked in the end. You can watch this Very Pink Knits YouTube video, if yow are not familiar with thiz. http://youtw.be/3oGG0AiJ3XE
