Hubby hat. You know the type. No color. No cables. No nothing. With this simple double layer hat you can try to insert some excitement and color to hubby's wardrobe. Take a colorful skein of some tickly and prickly wool and one colorless skein of smooth merino goodness. He'll feel the difference and be forced to Wear his hat the colorful side up. Yarn:Madelinetosh Sport in two colors, 1 skein each (l used Yarngrimoire Pick-A-Sock Sport forthe other side) Needles: 3.5 mm circular needles, a 3.0 mm crochet hook Gauge: 20 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm Size: One-size-fits-a-hubby Abbreviations

Cast on:
CO 1oo sts using provisional cast on with scrap yarn. Join in the round and pm to indicate the beginning of round.
Hat number 1:
Knit in the round using color A until the hat measures about i9 cmfrom the cast on edge, oruntil desired length. Dec round: (k2tog, k21, ssk) x 4. Repeat dec round every other round until 12 sts remain. Forthe last round: dec2 x4. Cut the yarn, leaving a tail. Thread the yarn through the remaining 4 sts, tighten and weave in the end.
Hat number 2:
Unravel the provisional cast on andpickup the sts. Withthe right side ofhat numberfacing, using colorB, pul one round. Continue in stockinette st and knit as hat number 1. Remember to tie the yarns together at the cast on edge on the wrong side ofthe hat before finishing. Weave the last end inside the hat tube. Turn hat number inside hat number 1. Hand over to the hubby.
