Gauge: approximately 20 sts = 4 inches Materials: US size 7 needle or needle to obtain gauge 200 yards of dk or worsted weight yarn Sample was done in A Maxima by Manos Del Uruguay and B Koigu KPPPM (held doubled) Finished measurements after blocking: 11" height x 23" in circumference

bo = bind off k = knit p = purl rs = right side sl = slip ssk = slip, slip knit sssk = slip, slip, slip knit st(s) = stitch(es) tog = together ws = wrong side wyib = with yarn in back To begin: cast on 114 sts in color A Join in the round being careful not to twist Work in k2, p4 pattern for 1 inch Note: for a one color option continue in rib pattern for the entire project. Join in color B: sl2 purlwise wyib, k4 to end of round With A: knit to end of round repeat the last 2 rounds until work measures 5 inches With A work in k2, p4 pattern for 1 inch Next row: k2, bo 58 sts in pattern Continue working back and forth on remaining 56 sts Row 1(ws): \*p2, k4\* to last 2 sts and p2 Row 2 (rs): k1, ssk, work in pattern to last 3 sts and k2tog, k1 Row 3 (ws): work in established pattern Continue in this manner working last 2 rows and decreasing by 2 sts on rs until there are 30 sts Next row (rs): k1, sssk, work in pattern to last 4 sts and k3 tog, k1 ws: work in pattern Continue in this manner working last 2 rows and decreasing by 4 sts on rs until there are 12 sts rs: k1, ssk, ssk, work in pattern until 5 sts remain and k2tog, k2 tog, k1 ws: work in pattern rs: k1, ssk, work in pattern to last 3 sts and k2tog, k1 ws: work in pattern rs: BO remaining 3 sts knitwise Weave in ends Block work and enjoy!
