Boobylicious nursing pads with eyelet edges.
Abig thanks to Marnie Macclean for letting me use her "Halley's comet? lace pattern $\circledcirc$

Materials: Askeladen 2-ply merino lammeull. 2 sets of double pointed needles $2{,}5\;\mathrm{mm}$ or $3\;\mathrm{mm}$ 2 stitch markers. Yardage: About 200-250 metres Gauge: 32 sts $=\mathbf{\mu}\mathfrak{s}$ Size: One size The diameter for the finished pad is about $15\;\mathrm{cm}$ but can easily be adjustet to desired size. The diameter for the stockinette layer is about $8{\-}9\;\mathrm{cm}$ Abbrevations: $\mathrm{{Rnd}(s)=R o u n d(s)}$ $\mathrm{St}(\mathrm{s})=$ stitch(es) ${\mathrm{Kfb}}={\mathrm{knit}}$ in front and back loop of stitch (increase) Dpns $=$ double pointed needles $\mathrm{Yo}=$ yarn over $\mathrm{Ktbl}=\mathrm{knit}$ through back loop of stitch. $\mathrm{SSK}=\mathrm{Slip}$ the next stitch, then slip the next. Insert left needle into the front loops of the slipped stitches and knit them together from this position (through the back loops). $\mathrm{K}2\mathrm{tog}=\mathrm{knit}\:2$ sts together. $\mathrm{SK}2\mathrm{tog}\mathrm{P}=\mathrm{Slil}$ p next st, Knit 2 sts together, Pass the slipped stitch over
Notes:
Stockinette layer:
Work every other round in stockinette sts without any increases. These rounnds are not written in the instructions. To avoid bunching, the stockinette layer has one round less than the lace layer. Outer layer: Knit every other round without any increases. These rounds are not written in the instructions. Make the outer layer to desired size by adding one extra stitch before every increase. Eyelet: To avoid the edges from curling (too much) an eyelet row is worked at the end of the pattern. Please read through the pattern before casting on.

Attaching layers
From this point the stockinette layer and the lace layer will be worked together. Place the lace layer with right side facing over the knit side of the stockinette layer. Be sure that needles 1-4 of the stockinette layer are parallell with needles 1-4 of the lace layer. Pick up the first stitch on the lace layer as if to knit, then the first st on the stockinette layer as if to knit; knit these two sts together. Work this way until the stockinette layer is attached all the way around. $(=64$
Outer layer
Place marker at the beginning of the round, and knit as stated: Rnd 1). $^{*}\mathrm{kl}0$ , kfb\*. Rep $^{**}\mathrm{~7~}$ times more $(=72$ sts) Rnd 3). $\ast_{\mathrm{kl1}}$ , kfb\*. Rep $^{**}\mathrm{~7~}$ times more $(=80$ sts) Rnd 5). $^{*}\mathrm{k}12$ , kfb\*. Rep $^{**}\mathrm{~7~}$ times more $(=88$ sts) Rnd 7). $^{*}\mathrm{k}13$ , kfb\* Rep $^{**}\mathrm{~7~}$ times more $(=96$ sts) Rnd 9). $\ast_{\mathrm{k}14}$ , kfb\*. Rep $^{**}\mathrm{~7~}$ times more $\left(=104\right.$ sts) Rnd 11). $^{*}\mathrm{k}15$ , kfb\*. Rep \*\* 7 times more $(=112$ sts) Rnd 13). $^{*}\mathrm{k}16$ , kfb\*. Rep \*\* 7 times more $=120$ sts) Rnd 15). $\ast\mathbf{k}17$ , kfb\*. Rep \*\* 7 times more $(=128$ sts) Keep on knitting the outer layer to desired size by adding one extra stitch before every increase, and/or move on to eyelet.
Eyelet:
1)\*Yo, k2tog\* Rep. \*\* throughout the round. 2) K all sts.
