THE VEGETARIAN (TASTY ANIMALS) HAT

Are you tired of explaining to non-vegetarians what you won't eat? Or do you feel the need to show the world what animals you find the most delicious? After a doctor tried to convince me that organic chicken was an acceptable alternative protein source for vegetarians, I decided it was time to design a hat with the furry, feathery and scaly critters we vegies do not eat. Best part is that this hat will also work for my omnivore friends who really love their bacon, prime rib, hot wings and sashimi. whether you see it as a show of love for the creatures you refuse to ingest or as a menu suggestion, I know you'll enjoy wearing this hat and explaining what it means to your doctors, cooks, friends and family! There are four animal charts included so you can pick your favorites and size it to your own preference. The small size (shown in blue) has two animal charts for those who prefer a more traditional fitting hat. The large size (shown in brown) is knit up with three animal charts for a slouchy effect. You could even knit all four charts if you like a really slouchy hat. Each animal chart requires about 40yds of fingering weight yarn so this is the perfect project to use your sock yarn leftovers.
