Pattern
Intrepid Easy: Requires provisional cast on, knitting and purling, 3-needle bind off CO 1oo sts using the provisional cast on method of your choice. NOTE: I used the invisible or "looped" provisional cast on method. Work in stockinette stitch until piece measures 45 1/2" (114cm) or desired length. NOTE: This length will not allow you to double the cowl. For a longer cowl [for the cowl to be doubled, you will need a piece that measures approximately 54" (135cm)] simply work until all three skeins are just about exhausted. Leave at least 2 yds (2m) of yarn to complete the3-needlebind off.
Abbreviations
Cut yarn and weave in ends. Put stitches on waste yarn to block cm centimeters CO cast on st/sts Stitch/stitches
Finishing
Finished Block as desired before assembling. Move the stitches at both ends of the cowl from waste yarn or holders to separate needles that are pointing in the same direction. Fold the cowl in half (wrong side out/right sides facing in) so that the two sets of stitches are lined up (knitting needles should be pointed in the same direction). To get the twist in the cowl, turn one needle a complete 360 degrees so that right sides are again facing each other and the needles are aligned with needles pointed in the same direction. Execute a 3-needle bind off. Cut yarn. Weave in ends.

He alternately wants to be an organic farmer, to study Oceanography, be a parasitologist, and a Lego designer. He is also keen to ski and practice archery at every opportunity.
