By Abby Tohline Is your mug cold and naked? Dress it up with this chic and warm mug cosy! This fun and easy mug cosy is made with superwash wool for lots of warmth as well as the ability to be washed easily in case it gets a tea on it. Using less than one skein of Cascade 220 Superwash, you can use the extras left over from my Tea Totaler's Cosy (pattern available at artohline.wordpress.com) to make this companion! Sizes: Small (Height 3"), Medium (Height 4"), Large (Height 5")

Materials: --approx. 35-60 yds Cascade 220 superwash. --Size 7 US needles --A small /medium cable needle Gauge: Approx 7.5 sts per inch in pattern. Pattern Notes C4F—Cable 4 front: hold 2 sts to front of work on cable needle, knit next 2 sts, then knit 2 sts from cable needle. C4B—Cable 4 back: hold 2 sts to back of work on cable needle, knit next two sts, then knit 2 sts from cable needle
Instructions:
CO 22 sts (30 sts, 38 sts) Following written directions or chart below, repeat rows 1-4 until work measures desired circumference. You may get this length with a litle stretching if you'd like the cozy to fit snugly. Then, bind off in pattern.

Finishing (see diagram above):
Sew cast on and cast off edges together approx /2" at top and approx /2’ at bottom (\*\*or distance from bottom of mug to handle and distance from top of mug to handle). Leave space in middle unsewn. If desired, sew small button(s) in space between and use any hole in the knitting as a buttonhole. Cosy should stretch over mug and slip down on it snugly, then button(s) can be fastened in handle space. Weave in all ends. Enjoy some coffee, tea, or other warm beverage!
