Fall Semester
A lace cowl pattern by Alegria DaSilva This past school year I had the priviledge of working with two amazing teachers. I owe them a debt of gratitude for their kindness and support through fun times and challenging times. I created this pattern for Noreen, who balances her joyful energy with a serious and thoughtful consideration for the needs of each of her students. She taught me how to impart upon children the sense that they are valued members of the classroom, and by extension, society. Fall Semester features an alternating leaf lace pattern and is worked in the round. The lace pattern is prominent enough to accommodate a fuzzy yarn like mohair or alpaca. Ithink it would look best in a rich autumn color, yellow, orange, red or purple.
