aboutyarhs
I made every project using wonderful yarns from Julie Asselin. I chose 3 weights - Hektos (worsted), Leizu DK and Fino (fingering). Each of the yarns combines softness with incredible, pastel colors. Those yarns are slightly elastic, which helped me reach the desired effect, and Fino, moreover, has subtle fluff, which made the mittens very cuddly. All of this made me look optimistically towards winter! Julie! Thank you very much for the trust and possibility to design those patterns for you!

Among the ceouds
Subtle cables and a slight of color grant these legwarmers an unmistakable look. They are both girly and feminine, and most of all warm and cuddly. You will appreciate having them on chilly, winter evenings.
sizes
Circumference at the widest point in the calf: 24 (27, 34, 40) cm [9.5 (10.5, 13.5, 15.5)"]. Given dimensions are the maximum strech of the warmers. If your calf circumference is between two dimensions, choose the bigger one. In case of small difference (about 1 cm [0.5"]) choose the closest one. Length: 23 (26, 33, 33) cm [9 (10, 13, 13)"].
yarn
Julie Asselin Leizu DK: 230 (240, 300, 380) meters [251 (262, 328, 415) yards] of main color yarn and 70 (70, 80, 100) meters [77 (77, 87, 109) yards] of contrasting color yarn.

instructions
Using 3 mm circular needle and mc yarn, cast on 56 (60, 70, 90) sts. Place marker, join and work in rounds. 1st round: \*k1, p1\* repeat \*\* to the end of round. Repeat this round 14 (16, 16, 16) times in total. Change your needle to 4 mm circular needle. Increasing round: \*k 14 (15, 7, 9), M1L\* repeat \*\* to the end of round. You now have 60 (64, 80, 100) sts. Knit 2 rounds. Knit chart 2 (1,2, 2) (one round consists of3 (4, 4,5) horizontal repeats of the chart) until you have made 4 (5, 6, 6) total vertical repeats and 3 (2, 8, 8) first rows of your diagram. (or until you have reached the desired length minus about 3.5 (4, 4, 4) cm [1.3 (1.5, 1.5, 1.5) in].) Only (27, 34, 40) sizes: Decreasing round: \*k (14, 6, 8) k2tog\* repeat \*\* to the end of round. You have (60, 70, 90) sts.
All sizes:
Change to contrasting color and 3 mm circular needle. Next round: \*k1, p1\* repeat \*\* to the end of round. Repeat this round 14 (16, 16, 16) times in total. Purl 13 (15, 15, 15) rows. Purl chart 3 (one round consists of 6 (6, 7, 9) horizontal repeats of the chart). Notice, that all the stitches are purled and remember to keep the threads in front of work when changing colors. You are effectively knitting the wrong side of leg warmers, as you will roll that part up! When knitting whit two colors, notice the thread's tension - if you knit too tighly. threads behing the work will tighten it and it won't look good. Purl 4 rounds and bind off purlwise tightly. Make second leg warmer.
finishing
Weave the loose ends in. Block your leg warmers to expose the cables. Do not stretch the rib when blocking, to let it stay elastic.
thanks
Im am very glad, that you were willing to knit Among the clouds! I hope you enjoyed the pattern and your work will warm you! Thank you! Thanks for my wonderful testers, whose help cannot be appreciated enough. Also for my charming model and friends for theirhelp! nareha

introdution
The cowl is worked in round. When working on colorworks, try to keep the thread, that is behind the work, loose enough while changing colors. Otherwise your work will not be elastic. If you would like to alter the cowl's width, the number of stitches after initial increases must be divisible by 24. You can use any number of colors greater than 1. The pattern is perfect for finishing up the yarn leftovers, that you surely have in your home! You can use just two colors, or knit every section with different color! Important! Try to weave in or tie threads as you go. When you end the cowl, easy finishing of the work will not be possible.
instrutions
Using PCM, main color and 5 mm (8 U.S) circular needle, cast on 16 sts. (Leave about 10 cm [4"] long piece of yarn). Join and work in the round. First round: place starting marker, k8, place marker, k8. Work as shown in chart Cstart (Astart) (one round comprises of two horizontal chart repeats) and at the same time increase: Increasing round: \*k1, M1L, k to 1 st before m, M1R, k1\* twice. Repeat last round 12 (16) times more (13 (17) in total). Knit one round. Only Adult size: Increasing round: \*k1, M1L, k to 1 st before m, M1R, k1\* twice. Knit one round. Repeat last 2 rounds one more time. Increasing round: \*k1, M1L, k to 1 st before m, M1R, k1\* twice. Only Child size: Increasing round: \*k1, M1L, k to 1 st before m, M1R, k1\* twice. Knit 1 round. All sizes: You now have 72 (96) sts. Work chart Ba, repeating it to the end of round. Then work chart Bb, and chart Ba and then 33 (55) rows of diagram Bb. Notice the placing of colors! If you would like to alter the cowl's length, you can stop knitting the patterns at any moment you want, or work any number of chart Ba/Bb rounds more. Notice, that every geometric pattern is separated from the next one with two main color rounds. After shortening of lengthening, adjust the colors of chart Cend (Aend) to keep their order. If you haven't weaved in the threads, do it now - turn your cowl inside out and weave in the loose ends :) Work as shown in chart Cend (Aend) (one round comprises of two horizontal chart repeats) and at the same time decrease: Decreasing round: \*ssk, k to 2 st before m, k2tog\* twice. Knit one round. Repeat last round 0 (2) times more (1 (3) in total). Decreasing round: \*ssk, k to 2 st before m, k2tog\* twice. Repeat last round 12 (16) times more (13 (17) in total). Knit one round. You now have 16 sts. Cut the yarn, leaving about 10 cm [4"]. Pull the thread through the stitches using tapestry needle. Pick up the provisional cast on stitches and pull the loose piece of yarn through all the stitches.
finishiny
Prepare about 2 m long pieces of yarn you have made the cowl with - you can use only main color, or any contrasting color, or like me, mix all of the colors together. One plait will need 15 threads. Pull each thread through one of the begining/ending 16 stitches (one stitch will be left without a thread) such that it is folded exactly in half. You now have 30 loose threads 1 m long. Split the up into 3 groups and braid tightly until you have about 6 cm [2.4"] of loose threads. Using a piece of thread, tie up the plait. Even the ends. Weave the loose ends in. Block your cowl to expose the pattern.

My suggestion - prepare about 10 cm [4"] long pieces of yarn to make the colored dots. After finishing a round with the dots, tie them up on the wrong side to prevent then from falling off. It's easier this way - threads don't ravel together.
risht hand (dots)
Using PCM, first main color yarn and 3 mm (2.5 US) circular needles, cast on 42 (54) sts. Place marker and work in round. Work chart Dots child (Dots adult) to the end of round (2 horizontal repeats) until you have 2 full vertical chart repeats. Then work first 5 (7) chart rounds, switch to larger needles, mark this round using interlock marker and continue with chart Dots child (Dots adult). Work 3 vertical repeats in total. You will be shaping the thumb now, by increasing stitches between A and B markers. All stitches between them are worked using main color only. Two chart stitches are now on the thumb (between the markers). When working the diagram, just skip them. The dots must still be lined up one over another. Work first two rounds of chart. Increasing round: work to mA, sm, m1l, k to mB, mlr, sm, work to the end. Work one round. Repeat the last two rounds 5 (6) times more. Next round: work to mA, rmA, place 14 (16) sts on scrap yarn, cast on 2 sts, rmB, work to the end. Continue as established until you have 5 vertical repeats of chart in total plus 9 (12) next chart rows.
