Decorated Hair Ties

Materials:
1 4 mm (G) hook 1 skein of DK weight yarn 3 Elastic hair bands Tapestry needle
Abbreviations:
ch - chain sl st - slip stitch sC - single crochet dc - double crochet
Rd 1 is the same for all.
Rd 1: Join with a sl st around elastic hair tie, ch 1, 60 sc around ring, join with a sl st to beginning sc (60 sc) NOTE: Stitches should be dense enough that you can no longer see any of the unstretched elastic. You may use more or less stitches if needed. For the ruffle and loopy instructions you can use any amount of stitches. For the flower instructions use a multiple of 6.
Ruffle:
Rd 2: ch1, 2 sc in each sc around (120 sc) Rd 3: sc in each sc around (120 sc)
Flower:
Rd 2: (skip 2 sc, 5 dc in next sc, skip 2 sc, slst in next sc) around (10 petals) needles Rd 2: ch1, sc in same st, (ch10, sc in next st) around, join with a sl st to colour work cables and larger For all: Weave in ends using the tapestry needle.
