Materials:
Lion Brand Bulky Yarn or #5 weight yarn Size J hook (use a K hook if it is really bulky (#6) yarn) (8" opening, 3" high x 9 1/2" wide, handle is 16" long) Basket will be smaller if you use a thicker yarn.

CH - Chain ST - Stitch SLST - Slip Stitch HDC - Half Double Crochet DC - Double Crochet Iviagiccircie Round 1: Ch 3, 11 dc in circle, slst in top of ch 3. (12) Round 2: Ch 2, 2 dc in each st around, slst to top of 1st dc. (24) Round 3: Ch 2, \* 1 dc in 1st st, 2 dc in next st \* repeat \* to \* around, slst to top of 1st dc. (36) Round 4: Ch 2, \* 2 dc in 1st st, 1 dc in next 2 sts \* repeat \* to \* around, slst to top of 1st dc. (48) Round 5: Ch 2, 1 dc in each st around, slst to top of 1st dc. Round 6: Repeat round 5. Round 7: Repeat round 5. Round 8: Repeat round 5. Do not fasten off if you want to attach the handle.

Handle
Ch 36, slst on other side of basket, ch 1, turn, hdc in each st, slst to first side of basket, ch 1, turn, hdc in each st, slst to basket, fasten off. Weave in any loose ends.
