Autopilot Cowl by Dominique Trad

This cowl was created for a simple project that is just about enjoying the yarn and doing some relaxed knitting (a great project for knitting on the bus, train, or at a knit night). It is designed for Worsted weight (1oply) yarn but can be done using any yarn you like.
Materials & Tools
2 skeins of 100g worsted weight (10ply) yarn (I used 181g of Malabrigo Rios which is 350m/382yd) 5.5mm/US9 & 6mm/US10 circular needles (I used 80cm long) 1 marker to show start of new row.
Gauge
Not important.
Size
Sample is 20cm wide with a circumference of 160cm @ Dominique Trad 2015
Abbreviations
K = Knit. P = Purl. YO = Yarn over needle to create a stitch. K2tog = Knit 2 stitches together to dec 1
Instructions
u want to work to the yarn amount you have, weigh your yarn before you beg Using 6mm/US10 needles , cast on 212sts (or any multiple of 2) and join making sure not to twist. Place marker. Change to 5.5mm/Us9 needles and knit garter edge as follows: 1: Purl 2: Knit 3: Purl 4: Knit 5: Purl 6: Knit 7: Purl You can weigh your yarn here to figure out how much to leave for other edge and cast off (sample used 30g).
Pattern (2st repeat)
1: (YO, K2TOG) repeat to end. 2: Knit Repeat the last 2 rounds as many times as you like for the body of the cowl (sample is 25 repeats), ending with the completion of a Round 1 (56 rounds from cast on in sample). Workedging: 1: Purl 2: Knit 3: Purl 4: Knit 5: Purl 6: Knit 7: Purl Cast off stretchy as follows: K2TOG, KI, cast off 1\* repeat from \* to \* until end
Blocking
