Nature Garland by Girlsbones
These semi-circular motifs resemble petals, scales, leaves or even barnacles depending on what colour you use and how you arrange them on the garland. Try scrunching them up and see what you end up with ! StitchKey chain (ch) slip stitch (ss or sl st) double crochet (dc) US or treble crochet (tr) UK

Materials
This is a great way to use up scraps of wool and play around with colour combinations - even just 1 meter of yarn should be enough for a motif! I've used Dk and light worsted weight yarn with a 4mm hook. As guage doesn't matter you can try other yarn and hook combinations. String is also needed to make the garland.
