75 grams of worsted weight yarn (used Red Heart Super Saver) Size 9 US circular needles in a 16-inch length 1 set size 9US double point needles to use at top Finished size: 23 inches circumference by 12 inches from rolled edge Gauge: 15 stitche = 4 inches Let's begin: Cast on 85 sts Join in the round, place a marke Knit 30 rows 31 - K15, K2tog, repeat to end 32-34: Knit 35 - K14, k2tog, repeat to end 36-38: Knit 39 - K13, k2tog, repeat to end 40-42: knit 43 - K12, k2tog, repeat to end 44-46: knit 47 - K11, k2tog, repeat to end 48-49: knit 50 - K10, k2tog, repeat to end 51-52: knit 53 - (change to double points): 54-55: knit 56 - K8, k2tog, repeat to end 57-58: knit 59 - K7, k2tog, repeat to end 60-61: knit 62 - K6, k2tog, repeat to end 63-64: knit 65 - K5, k2tog, repeat to end 66-67: knit 68 - K4, k2tog, repeat to end 71 - K3, k2tog, repeat to end 72-73: knit 74 - K2, k2tog, repeat to end 75: knit 76: K1, k2tog, repeat to end Cut tail to thread through remaining stitches, pull tight and weave in ends on inside. Ideas: you can use the SSK as the decrease to add a little blip of interest to a plain color, stockinette fabric.
