Crab Stitch - Reverse single crochet is just working a single crochet stitch from left to right, instead of right to left. After completing a row of single crochet, do not turn the work around, chain one, \*insert the hook into the next stitch to the right (not in the stitch you just completed, but the next one, draw up a loop. Magic circle -
Make a loop with the stray end under the working end of the yarn. With the hook, pull the working end from behind the stray end under and back up to the top. Ch I or otherwise start as you would with any other type of ring. Gnome is made in a continuous round and is not connected until the end. Top of Gnome With Color A In magic circle ch 1, 6 sc Round 1 - 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc Round 2 - sc in each sc around - 12sc Round 3 - 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc around - 18sc Round 4 - sc in each sc around -18sc Round 5 - 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc around - 24sc Round 6 - sc ine ach sc around - 24sc Round 7 - 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc around - 30sc Round 8 - sc in each sc around - 30 sc Round 9 - 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc around - 36sc Round 10 - sc in each sc - change to color B cutoff color A - 36 sc Round 11 - With Color B in BACK LOOP ONLY - sc in each sc around 36sc Round 11 - 12 sc in each sc around. Cutoff color B after row 12 and add Color C Round 13 - 20 With Color C sc in each sc around, At the end of Row 20 ss to first sc Round 11B - Connect yarn to unworked loops of row 11, holding gnome so the last row is at the bottom attach yarn to any unworked loop. Ch 1, crab stitch around ss to first crab Sstitch. Go back and add eyes Beard - This is done freehand and is done to your liking. Connect yarn with fpsc to any sc where you want the beard to start.
