Materials -Knit Picks Merino Style [ $100\%$ Merino wool; 123yd/112m per $50\mathrm{g}$ skein]; color: Hollyberry; 1 skein -size 5 DPNs -Stitch marker -Yarn needle Gauge 24 sts/32 rows $=4$ square inches

Directions CO 3 sts, join for knitting in the round, being careful not to twist. Row 1: K1, pm, M1, K1, M1, K1. 5 sts. (It may be easier to work with only 1 or 2 needles until there are more stitches.) Row 2: $\ast\mathbf{M}1$ , $\mathrm{K}1^{*}$ . 10 sts. Row 3: $^{*}\mathrm{K}1$ , $\mathrm{M}1^{*}$ . 20 sts. Row 4 & all other even-numbered rows: K all Row 5: $\ast\mathrm{K}2$ , M1\*. 30 sts. Row 7: $^{*}\mathrm{K}3$ , M1\*. 40 sts. Row 9: $\mathrm{}^{\ast}\mathrm{K}4$ , M1\*. 50 sts. Row 11: $^{*}\mathrm{K}5$ , M1\*. 60 sts. Row 12: P all. Row 12 will serve as a turn between the flat, circular bottom of the cozy and the cylindrical body ofthe cozy. Continue in $\ast\mathrm{K}2$ $\mathrm{P}2^{*}$ until the piece measures $3\ 1/4$ inches from the turn. (Any other stitch pattern for a multiple of 4 stitches may be substituted.) BO all sts, using the sewn bind-off.
