Descviptio: Thisfast and fun coffee cup cozy wilfit most disposable and reusable cups. It is worked from the bottom up in the round and then worked flat at the very top with a button closure. The unique construction allows you to slide it easily onto a full cup of your favorite beverage so you don't waste a precious drop!

Worsted weight (30-40 yards), I prefer superwash wool -US 7 (4.5mm) nine-inch mini circs (or DPN's or magic loop) \*You may size down to Us 6 if you don't knit as tightly as I do. -US 9 (5.5mm) needle (optional for cast on only)

K:Knit P:Purl M1B (make one back): Increase by picking up the yarn between two stitches from the back and knitting through the front loop. M1F (make one front): Increase by picking up the yarn between two stitches from the front and knitting through the back loop.
Instructions:
Cast on 35 stitches using long-tail method with Us 9 needle (or your preferred method of ensuring cast on edge is loose enough to slip over the bottom of cup). Transfer to Us 7 nine-inch mini circs or your preferred method of small diameter circular knitting. Join in round and place marker. Round 6 Increase round: Knit 1, M1B, knit until 1 stitch before marker, M1F, knit 1 (37 Stitches). Rounds 7-8Knit. -Bind off in pattern. Leave tail of about 24 inches and use it to create a button loop to fit your button. Ensure that you sew button in appropriate location so cozy will fit snugly when placed on cup. It's helpful to try the cozy on a cup to help determine where to sew the button.
