MYSTERY SOCK VI: COCKTAILS FOR TWO

Cocktails for Two Feet, that is! In this year's Mystery Sock, we'll be exploring a variety of stitches that remind our Designing Brewmistress of some of her favorite cocktails. The instructions for this cuff-down construction are provided in text and chart formats, for DPN, Two Circular Needle, and Magic Loop methods. CN cable needle (or equivalent) 1/2LC sl next st onto a CN, and hold in front of work. K2, then k1 from the CN. 1/2RC sl next 2 sts onto a CN, and hold in back of work. K1, then k2 from the CN. k knit k1-b knit one through the back loop. p purl sl1 slip 1 (purlwise, unless otherwise specified) st(s) stitch(es) trip-k1 triple knit stitch. Work as a normal knit st, except wrap the yarn around the needle 3 times before pulling it through the loop. When working the triple-wrapped stitch in the following row, slip the triple-wrapped stitch purlwise, allowing the extra wraps to release so that it becomes one, large stitch

MYSTERY SOCK CLUE #1 V IS FOR VERMICULAR

vermicular (ver·mic·u-lar) adj. 1. Like a worm in form or movement; particularly those found in a bottle of Mezcal. 2. Marked with close wavy lines. NOTE: The right and left socks are designed to be mirror images of each other, and consequently have separate instructions. Also note that the rounds of the right sock begin with the back of the leg and end with the front. The left leg is worked the opposite way - beginning with the front of the leg, and ending with the back. You may want to label your socks accordingly to avoid confusion for now. Cast on 66 (74, 82) sts using the Long Tail Cast On, or a stretchy cast on such as :he Estonian Cast On'. Distribute as follows:
