Materials: -5.0mm crochet hook -worsted weight yarn. Sample made with red heart super saver yarn Additional worsted weight yarn for pom pom -Pom Pom maker or hand. Hand made pom pom lightly wrap worsted weight yarn around four open fingers 200 times for the sized pom pom show in photos. Heres a link that shows one made this way -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v= 9kAsGImDaV0 Abbreviations and Techniques: -Sc = single crochet -Dc = double crochet -Ch = chain -SI St = slip stitch -St = stitch -Sk = Skip -MR = Magic Ring Beanie is crocheted in joined rounds. Chain 2 at beginning of round DOES NOT count as a stitch. When ending a round, slip stitch into the top of the first Dc of the round, not the chain stitches. Hat Pattern 5.00mm crochet hook. Begin with MR, ch 2 Round 1: Dc 12 in MR, pull yarn tail to close MR, join with sl st. (12) Round 2: Ch 2, \*Dc 2 in same st\* around. Join with sl st. (24) Round 3: Ch 2, \*Dc 2 in same st, Dc\* around. Join with sl st. (36) Round 4: Ch 2, \*Dc 2 in same st, 2 Dc\* around. Join with sl st. (48) Round 5: Ch 2, \*Dc 2 in same st, 3 Dc\* around. Join with sl st. (60) Round 6: Ch 2, Dc 2 in same st as the ch 2, \*Dc 1 in next 10 st, Dc 2 In next st\* repeat around till there are 3 st left, 1 Dc in next 3 st . Join With sl st. (66) Round 7-15: Ch 2, Dc around. Join with sl st. Band Round 16-22: Ch 1, loosely Sc in back loop only. Join with sl st.
