US 5/ 3.75mm circular needle 24" US F/ 3.5 mm Crochet hook (for the flower).
Notions
4 buttons (one for the centre of the flower and 3 for the back). Needle for finishing

GAUGE
24 sts/ 32 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch (on ball band with 4mm needles) 34 sts/ 34 rows = 4" in rib pattern stitch (with 3.75mm needles)

PATTERN
Cast on 216 sts, place a marker and join in the round being careful not to twist the sts. Round 1: Work [k4, p2] to end of round. Work Round 1 until the work measures 12"/ 30cm from the cast on edge. Prep Row: Cast off 14 sts, work 93 sts in pattern ( you will now have 94 sts before you start the next cast off) Cast off 14 sts, work in pattern to one st before the beginning of the round (where you cast off the first sts), k1, turn, remove beginning of the round marker. Place the 94 back sts (the stitches that you first worked after casting off the first 14 sts for the arm hole) on waste yarn to be picked up later. You will now be working back and forth on your circular needles. The front of the top 94 sts from one arm hole to the other. Row 1: SL1 Work [established rib pattern] to the last st, k1. Work Row 1 until the rib measures 2.5"/ 6 cm from the underarm, ending after a RS row.

Lace pattern
Work Rows 1-4 of lace pattern until the work measures 4"/ 10cm from the beginning of the lace work, stopping after row 1 or 3. Starting on a wrong side row Work rows 1-3 of Seed Sts Edge, Cast Off in pattern.
First Back Panel
From the back right pick up 47 sts, attach yarn. (doesn't matter which side you attach it to just try and do both sides the same) Row 1: SL1 Work [established rib pattern] to the last st, k1. Work Row 1 until the rib measures 2.5"/ 6 cm from the underarm, ending aftera RS row.
Row 1: SL1, work [kl, pl] to last 6 sts, k2tog, pl, kl, pl, k1. |

Row 3: SL1, work [kl, pl] to last st, kl. |
Work Lace pattern.

FINISHING
With the wrong sides together attach each back panel to the front panel, from the outside edge whip st 5"/ 13cm towards the centre leaving a hole for the neck and the slit at the back where the buttons will be placed. Attach buttons using the lace holes as button holes pick your buttons to fit the lace holes. Make Crochet flower and attach.
