the super bulky infinity scarf cowl
Iam short and do not have a long neck {yeah, it's pretty much the kiss of death..]. Needless to say, many of the cowl patterns are far \*too bulky \* for me. But, I love the \*bulky \* look and I love using large needles. So, I borrowed from several different cowl and scarf patterns to develop this 'scarf cowl. This is one pattern solution for those of us not graced with height and long necks! You get the bulky look with only half the bulk on the neck with this pattern!
materials:
2 skeins Wool-Ease Thick & Quick by Lion Brand (212 yds) {l used the color Barley in the photos) #17 circular needles 24 inch length
directions:
Cast on 131 sts., long tail method. Join in the round and place marker. Row 1: \*k1, p1. Repeat from \* across the entire row. Row 2: \*p1, k1. Repeat from \* across the entire row. Work in seed stitch for 9 inches (or your desired width)) Bind off. Weave in ends. The scarf cowl can be folded up 2 or even 3 times depending on the look you desire! Enjoy!
