1 Ender Bag

Materials:
US H/8 ( $5.00\;\mathrm{mm})$ crochet hook Worsted Weight Yarn - This bag is made with Red Heart Super Saver ( $100\%$ Acrylic) $60z/170\mathrm{g}$ in 0358 Lavender 4 Safety pins or stitch markers Tape measure Finished Size: 16'w x 10"h (un-stretched and excluding handles) Gauge: 17 dc / 9 rows $=4$ inches Obtaining exact gauge is not necessary forthis project. Pick a hook size that will give you a firm bag bottom.
Bag Bottom
Ch 18 stitches. Row 1: dc into $3^{\mathrm{rd}}$ ch from hook, dc in each st across, ch 2, turn. $(16\,\mathrm{dc})$ Row 2-19: dc in $1^{\mathrm{{st}}}$ st and each st across row. Ch 2 sts. Turn. Next Row: dc in $1^{\mathrm{{st}}}$ st and each st across row. (piece should measure $10^{\circ}$ in length) See Picture A. Continue Row: 3 dc into corner of bottom. dc evenly across long edge of bottom (\~42 dc). 3 dc into corner, dc across ch sts, 3 dc into corer, dc evenly across long edge of bottom, $3\;\mathrm{dc}$ into corner, slip st in top of ch 2st. You will now be working in the round. See Picture B. For two color bag: cut yarn and using a contrasting color work a round of sc into each dc of previous round.

Bags Sides
Slip st through last st worked. $^{*}\mathrm{Ch}\,5$ , skip three dc (sc for two color bag), and sc into next dc st.\* Repeat until you reach the end of the round. If you end with 4 dc stitches skip 4 dc sts. If you end with 5 dc sts, skip four dc on each of last two ch 5 sections. Slip st into first st of round. You will now be working in a spiral. See Picture C.

Tier 2-15: slip st into ch5 space, ch 1, slip st into chain 5 space. $^{*}\mathrm{Ch}\,5$ and slip st into next ch 5 space.\* Repeat to end of round. Slip st into first st of round. Picture $D$ and E show the spiral step to the next tier.

Bag Edge
Slip st into ch 5 space. Ch 2, and dc into ch 5 space three times. $\ast\mathrm{Dc}$ into next ch 5 space four times.\* Repeat to end of round. Slip st into top of ch 2 at beg of round. See Picture $F$

For two color bag: cut yarn and switch to contrasting color.
Next Rnd: ch 2, and dc into each dc of previous round. Cut yarn.
Handles
Lay bag flat. Top of bag should measure ${\sim}16$ ' Using tape measure and stitch markers/safety pins mark the center 10. SeePicture $G$ Sc into two stitches right of marker A. Sc across to one stitch past marker b. Slip st into next st. Ch 1. See Picture H. \*Turn, Sc into next five stitches. Ch 1.\* Repeat for next 37 rows or until handle measures 10." You will now attach the handle to the other side of the bag. Ch 1, Turn, Sc through the first Sc on the handle and through the dc stitch two stitches to the left of the handle. marker. See Picture I.

Sc through the next four stitches on the handle and edge of bag. Do a slip stitch at the corner to tack down the handle and Sc up one side of the handle. See Picture J. When you get to the other side, slip stitch to tack down the handle, and slip across the stitches at the base of the handle. See Picture K. Slip stitch to tack down the handle, and Sc up the other side of the handle. Slip st through the stitches where the handle was attached. Sc across the other edge of the bag until one stitch past the marker. Slip stitch through the next dc. Ch 1. \*Turn, Sc into next five stitches. Ch 1.\* Repeat for next 37 rows or until handle measures same as first. Attach and do Sc edging as with first handle. Weave in the one end.
