Here is the written pattern, What you need: 5mm Hook Orange DK Green DK Stitches needed, USA ------ UK CH ----CH SLST ---- ---SLST SC (flo) ----DC (flo) HDC -----HTR HDC2TOG -------HTR2TOG I am using US terms throughout. ( If you use UK terms, please use the conversion chart above ) Please Note ch1 at the start of round does NOT count as a stitch in this pattern You can start your work with a Magic Circle if you want, as long as you make 10 HDC. Row 1 : Ch2, 10 HDC into 2"d chain from hook, (picture 3) Row 2 : 2HDC into each stitch join, ch1 Row 3 : 2HDC into 1s st, 1 HDC in next \* 2HDC, 1 HDC \* all round, join ch1 Row 4 : 2HDC in 1st st, 1 HDC in next 2 st \*2HDC, 1HDC,1HDC \* all round join ch1 Row 5 : 2HDC into 1st st, 1 HDCin next 3 st \*2HDC, 1HDC, 1HDC, 1HDC \* all round join ch1 Row 6 : 2HDC into 1st st, 1 HDCin next 4 st \*2HDC, 1HDC, 1HDC, 1HDC , 1HDC\* all around then join and ch1 Row 7: 2HDC into 1s st, 1 HDCin next 5 st \*2HDC, 1HDC, 1HDC, 1HDC, 1HDC, 1HDC\* all round join ch1 (picture 4) Row 8 : SCFLO (front loops only) in each st. (picture 5,6,7) Row 9 : HDC in each SC of previous row using both loops, join ch1 Row 10: HDC in each stitch of previous round, join and ch1 Row 11-15 repeat row 10. Row 16 : HDC2TOG then 1HDC into next 4stitches \* HDC2TOG, 1HDC, 1HDC, 1HDC, 1HDC \* all round Join ch1 (Picture 8,9) \* Do Not Break Yarn \* This completes your Body of your Basket, we will now work the handle Handle Row 1 : Work 8 HDC into the next 8 stitches, ch1 turn (picture 10) Handle Row 2 : HDC into each Stitch ch1 turn Handle Row 3 - 19 : Repeat Row 2 Handle Row 20 : HDC into each Stitch, do not chain at the end, break yarn leaving a long tail. (picture 11) Using long tail, join your Handle to your basket body, making sure it matches up with your other side and do not twist. (picture 12) Your Basket body is now finished. ([icture 13) You can now decorate in what ever way you choose, either sew a Jack'o'lantern face on, or use Leaves and Vines. Leaves, ch8, sc in 2"d ch, hdc in next, dc in next 3, hdc in next, sc in next, ch 3, now work the other side of chain, sc in first, hdc,dc in next 3, hdc, sc slst into first ch you should have 7 stitches and 1 ch3, make as many as needed and attach, to make vines, chain stitch as long as you want and attatch to basket.
