About the yarn

British blue wool is pure wool from Bluefaced Leicester sheeps. The yarn is soft and robust at the same time - similar to merino wool. We appreciate that the sheeps are bred in Great Britain and the yarn is spun there as well. Therefore a long standing European textile industry is sustainably supported and prevented from its ruin. If you appreciate European production and its standards as we do, this is the yarn for you. It is a bit on the pricy side, but you can knit and wear it with a clear conscience. We recommend to make a swatch and wash it. The yarn grows a little bit after washing. The yarn is machine washable.
