RIBBING
CROWN SHAPING
Using the Long Tail Cast-On and smaller needles, CO 100 sts. See Stitch Guide on Page 1 for link to avisualtutorial. If using a 32in circular for the Magic Loop Method, place marker at end of cast-on sts and join in round distributing 46 sts on first needle to be worked and 54 sts on the other, being careful not to twist. See Stitch Guide on Page 1 for link to a visualtutorial. If using a 16in circular, place a marker to denote start of round and join in round, being careful not to twist. Rnd 1: [K1, p1] or [k2, p2] (both ways look great) to end of rnd. Rep Rnd 1 until ribbing measures 1.5in/4cm from CO edge.
BODY
Switch to larger needles. Increase Round: \*K10, m1; rep from \* to end of rnd. (110sts) Rnd 1: \*Yo, k2tog; rep from \* to end of rnd. Rnd 2: Knit to end of rnd. Rep Rnds 1 & 2 for approx 8.75in/22cm from cast-on edge (approx 52 rnds). \*If using a 16in circular, change to dpns as you work the first decrease rnd. Rnd 1: \*K2tog, [yo, k2tog] four times; rep from \* to end of rnd. 99 sts Rnd 2 & all even rnds: Knit to end of rnd. Rnd 3: \*K3tog, [yo, k2tog] three times; rep from \* to end of rnd. 77 sts Rnd 5: \*K3tog, [yo, k2tog] twice; rep from \* to end of rnd. 55 sts Rnd 7: \*K3tog, yo, k2tog; rep from \* to end of rnd.33 sts Rnd 9: K3tog to end of rnd. 11 sts Cut yarn, leaving a 6in/15cm tail. Use yarn needle to thread end through remaining sts. Pull tight and tie off. Weave in ends and block if desired.
