Size:

Tofit 21 head circumference with 2 negative ease in ribing and4” ease around head before decreasessoi's got some slouch (love that word).

Materials:

2 skeins of RYC Cashsoft DK in “Mist? or approx 280 yds of DK weight yarn 4mm (US size 6) circular (16") (or size to obtain gauge) 4mm (US size 6) dpn's $3.75\mathrm{mm}$ (US size 5) circular (16") tapestry needle

Gauge:

26 stitches and 30 rows to $4^{\circ}$ in herringbone lace rib pattern Herringbone Lace Pattern: (multiple of 7 stitches) Row l1: kl, pl, kl, yfrn, p2tog, kl, pl Row 2: kl, p2, k2tog, yfrn, p2

Pattern:

Using smaller needles, CO 110 sts, pm and join to work in the round. Work kl, pl rib for 13 rows. Work rows 1 and 2 of lace herringbone pattern until hat measure $6^{\circ}$ from CO ending with a Row I of pattern..
