Fall's Comfort Scarf

Materials:
Worsted weight yarn-I used Waverly by Bernat in Billard Green for the main body and Red Heart with Love in Autumn for the Border ·Hhook Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Abbreviations:
Ch=chain SC=single crochet DC=double crochet HDC=half double crochet Sp=space FO=fasten off St(s)=stitch(es) Sl st=slip stitch
Starting:
Ch 214 (or any multiple of 6 + 4) Row 1: SC in 2nd ch from hook \* skip next 2 ch, 5 DC in next ch, skip next 2 ch, SC in next ch, repeat from \* across ending with SC in last ch, turn. Row 2: ch 5 (counts as DC, ch 2), \* skip next 2 DC, SC in next DC (middle of shell), ch 2, skip next 2 DC, DC in SC, ch 2, repeat from \* across ending with DC in last SC, turn. Row 3: ch 3, 2 DC in same stitch, \* skip next 2 ch, SC in next DC, skip next 2 ch, 5 DC in DC, repeat from \* across ending with 3 DC in 3'd ch space in turning ch, turn. Row 4: ch 1, sc in same space, \*ch 2, skip next 2 DC, DC in next SC, ch 2, skip next 2 DC, SC in next DC (middle of shell), repeat from \* across ending with SC in 3'd ch space in turning ch, fasten off. Working along opposite side of foundation ch, join yarn in first SC at beginning of ch. Repeat rows 1-4, lining up stitches in Row 1 with the stitches on the opp side. Note: After finishing rows 1-4 on opp side, we will be creating a base round before the actual border. This will make it neater. Try to get each side in multiples of 4 + 3 + corner stitches. Base round: turn, ch 1, SC in same space, \* 2 SC in ch 2 sp, SC in next SC/DC, repeat around from \*, slip stitch to beginning SC, FO. Border: Reattach yarn 4 stitches to left of a corner stitch. Round 1: ch 1, SC in same stitch, ch 3, skip 3 sts, \* (SC in next st, ch 3, skip 3 sts) to corner st, (SC, ch 3, SC) in corner stitch \*\* ch 3, skip 3 sts, repeat from \* around ending with last repeat at \*\* , ch 2, join with SC to first SC. Round 2: ch 1, SC in space formed by SC, ch 4, \* (SC in next ch 3 space, ch 4) to corner space, (SC, ch 1, SC) in corner space \*\* ch 4, repeat from around ending last repeat at \*\* , ch 2, join with HDC to first SC. Round 3: ch 1, SC in space formed by joining HDC, ch 4, \* (SC in next ch sp, ch 4) to corner space, (SC, ch 1, SC) in corner space \*\* ch 4, repeat from \* around ending with last repeat at \*\* ch 2, join with HDC to first SC. Round 4: Repeat Round 3 Round 5: ch 1, SC in space formed by joining HDC, ch 5, \* SC in next ch 4 space, ch 5, repeat from \* around, join with sl st to first SC, FO. Block if desired.

The above picture is the first one I made. In this one I used Red Heart Soft for the main color and Red Heart with Love for the contrast.
