My one ball Kauni journey.
My journey began when I saw Kauni yarn in the internet and has fallen in love instantly with the look. As every passionate knitter I needed to try it. I haven't decided yet what to knit but I needed to try it. Once I've received my first ball I realized that it's better to do the project in one piece to preserve yarn colourways. And I've decided to start with a skir...

Skirt or Neckwarmer.
Only after finishing the skirt I've found that I can wear it on the neck as well. With size 3 circular needles cast on 210 sts. Purl first row (RS), join being careful not to twist the work. Place marker for beginning of round. Round 1: knit all the sts. Round 2: follow CHART from to or following word description of the pattern from \* to \*. Round 3: knit all sts. Repeat Round 2 and 3. Switch to 1 x 1 rib and continue for 12 rounds. Bind off all sts. Wear as a skirt or neckwarmer or cawl scarf to cover your heac

Rainbow cushion.
To make a cushion reverse piece on WS, fold it and sew on the bottom to the end and the opposite side leaving unsowed 10 cm. Fill in with preferred filing. If using beans put them in a plain cotton pillowcase before inserting into your rainbow cushion cover. Sew on opened 10 cm to close the cushion. Tip: You can make a cushion after you're tired of wearing the neckwarmer. In this case make your Ws - the face of the cushion and you'll hide all the wears and tears inside.

Felted neckwarmer.
I've decided that I didn't experiment enough and I needed something more... Yep, felt it... To felt I washed it twice on 40 degrees in a front loader washing machine with a detergent and fabric softener. Felted so nicely you cannot see the stitches at all. The result is below

The felted garment is soft, nice and colourful. I loved it so much that I stopped at this point...

Though I still had one more idea for the yarn. Perhaps you are the one who try it. Felted bag. Reverse a piece to WS. Fold it as shown on the picture and sew on the bottom. Reverse back, cut felt across the black line as shown on the picture to form handles. It's safe if you felted it nicely. And you're ready to go..

This is the end of my One ball Kauni journey... and at the same time the beginning of another ball.. I really enjoyed it. Hope you will enjoy it too. Questins or suggestions? E-mail me on koldunova@gmail.com Regards, Olena from CharmsOfKnitting
