To make up
With right side of work on outside, fold waistband over along the ridge formed by row 38. Sew waistband in place at base of row 35, do not sew up sides of waistband. To attach ties, tuck one short end of tie into side of the waistband. Sew into place, making sure the side of the waistband is sewn together. Repeat on other side of apron. Block finished knitting to open out lace work, or press (using a damp cloth and warm iron) if preferred, although this may flatten the pattern.
