FINISHING
Cut yarn, leaving 18" for finishing. Rearrange stitches so that they are divided over 2 parallel needles, wrong sides facing. Graft the last 16 stitches together as follows: Using a tapestry needle and the remaining yarn go into lst stitch on FRONT needle as if to PURL. Pull yarn through and leave stitch ON needle. Go into lst stitch on BACK needle as if to KNIT, pull yarn through and leave stitch ON needle.Proceed as follows: 1. Yarn through lst stitch on FRONT needle as if to KNIT, pull yarn through, drop stitch OFF. 2. Go into next stitch on FRONT needle as if to PURL, pull yarn through, and leave stitch ON. 3. Go into lst stitch on BACK needle as if to PURL, pull yarn through and drop stitch OFF. 4. Go into next stitch on BACK needle as if to KNIT, pull yarn through and leave stitch ON. Repeat steps l-4 until all the stitch have been worked. I recommend keeping the tension very loose as you pull the yarn through each stitch. You can go back later and tighten things up using the tip of the tapestry needle. Weave in all ends and block gently if desired.
