Keep Me...
Or, The Ridged Heart Cowl
Materials eeded:

This cozy cowl is knit flat, then seamed. With slipped stitches every few rows, it creates a warm fabric that is great for blocking those frigid winter winds. You can choose to knit it in one color, or use a contrasting color for the ribbed borders. Either way, your neck will be warm and cozy!

Motes:
If you are having trouble making the hearts with the pattern stitch provided, don't panic! There are a couple of other ways to get the hearts! One way you can make them is with a cable needle. (Thanks to twicmeyer on Ravelry!) You'll only need it on every 3'd row of the pattern stitch. Do it like this: Row 3: \*sl 2 wyib, slip next st onto cable needle and hold at front of work, knit next St from left-hand needle, then knit st from cable needle.\* When this pattern was being tested, some testers had problems with the original way of forming hearts, but this way worked perfectly! If you don't want to use a cable needle, but can't the hearts to work with the other way either, you have this option to try as well! (Thanks to Ginger72 on Ravelry!) Row 3: \*Sl 2 wyib, k2togtbl, K the 1st st again, then slip both sts off the needle\* You know have three options of getting those hearts just right!
