Baby Hat with rolled brim
Material: Sockyarn or cotton yarn for needle size 3mm (US 2 or 3) circular knitting needle or set of dpns 3mm (Us 2 or 3) and 2 dpns size $2.5\;\mathrm{mm}$ (US 1) Gauge: 26 stitches and 36 rows make a square of 10cm (4x4 inch) Sizes: Newborn, 6 months (instructions in parenthesis) Instructions: Cast on 80 (90) stitches, close to knit in the round. Knit in stockinette stitch for 6 (7) inch Carefully turn inside out and bind off using 3 needle bind off Turn right side out again. At the end of each seam, pick 3 stitches and knit an I-cord of 2 inch Make a knot in each I-cord, weave in all threads 3 needle bind off: fold your knitting in half, now you will have 2 needles laying besides each other. knit first stitch of front needle and first stitch of back needle together. knit next stitch of both needles together slip first stitch on right needle over second \*knit next stitch of both needles together slip first stitch on right needle over second\* continue until all stitches are knit I-cord: knit all 3 stitcnes on needle \*do NoT turn your knitting, but move your stitches to the right tip of your needle knit all 3 stitches, pull your thread a bit harder for the first stitch to avoid the cord being too lose.\* continue until cord is long enough, bind off This pattern is for personal use only.
