Foot:
Continue in stocking stitch until foot measures 1.5” from back of heel.
Toe:
Round 1: (k4, k2tog) repeat around row (20 stitches) Round 2: (k3, k2tog) repeat around row (16 stitches) Round 3: (k2, k2tog) repeat around row (12 stitches) Round 4: (k1, k2tog) repeat around row (8 stitches) Round 5: (k2tog) repeat around row (4 stitches) Cut yarn and thread through remaining stitches and tie tightly
I-cord Loop:
Using the long tail at the cast on edge,cast on three stitches onto one double pointed needle (as close to cast on edge as possible.) Knit the three stitches and without turning the needle, slide them back to the right end of the needle and knit them again. Repeat until i-cord is 1.5" long, then draw the yarn through the stitches. Secure the end in the i-cord tightly to the cast-on edge forming a loop.

Cuff: Cast on 24 stitches leaving tail approximately I yard long (to be used for i-cord loop.) Spread stitches out on four needles (6 on each) and join for working in the round being careful not to twist the stitches. Round 1: purl Round 2: knit Round 3: purl
Leg Pattern:
Complete the chart once. (Repeat twice around the leg.) knit purl k3tog sl1, k2tog, psso yo Bktbl (knit through back loop)

Heel:
The heel will be worked on the last 6 stitches of the round just completed and the first 6 stitches of the next round. Knit these first 6 stitches on to the last needle worked, so you now have 12 stitches on one needle (now referred to as NEEDLE 1.) Row I: (WS) sl 1, purl remaining stitches on needle Row 2: (RS) (sl 1, k1) - repeat across the row Repeat row I and row 2 for a total of 5 times. Heel Turn: Continue working with 12 stitches Row I: (WS) sl I, p6, p2tog, p1, turn Row 2: (RS) sl 1, k 3, ssk, kI, turn Row 3: (WS) sl I, p4, p2tog, pI, turn Row 4: (RS) sl 1, k5, ssk, k1. (8 stitches will be left on NEEDLE 1.)
Gusset:
With NEEDLE 1, pick up and knit 6 sts along side of heel. Knit across stitches for top of foot. With a spare needle, pick up and knit 6 stitches along other side of heel and then knit four more stitches on to this needle (to center of heel.) This is the end of the round and now NEEDLE I will be the beginning of the next round. (10 stitches on needles I & 4 and 6 stitches on needles 2 and 3, the top of foot.)
