Red Heart Super Saver Yarn or worsted weight 10 ply with 8 wpi. One 364 skein Each color I hook 5.50 mm Gauge 12 Dc =4 in Sweater 2t measures 25 inches around, 13 inches long, Hood is 10 inches deep ( folded flat) and 11 1/2 inches to the shoulder and 11 1/2 inches to the shoulder 4t measures 28 inches around, 18 inches long Hood is 10 inches deep ( folded flat) and 11 1/2 inches to the shoulder Yarn does not have to be cut for the stripes around the body. Since the rows will have to be turned when the sweater is divided for the armholes, the body will also be turned every row to make the stitches consistent, and going the same direction. The yarn does not have to be cut for each change of color in the body. Carry it loosely up from the rounds below. Ch 3 counts as first st
Sweater Front and Back Worked in Rounds
Ch 74 (80) [88] with black. Join with a slst to form ring R1 Ch 3, dc in every ch around. Join with a slst in top of beg st being careful not to twist. Drop black, Turn 74 (80) [88] sts R2 Join white. Ch 3, dc around. Join , drop white. Turn R3 Pick up black, ch 3. dc around, join, drop black, turn Work in stripes until sweater measures inches 8 (9) [11]
Divide for Arm Holes Back
R1 Pick up next color yarn. Ch3. Work across 38 (40) [44] stitches, end off, cut yarn R2 Join next color. Ch3. Work across row, end off, cut yarn Work in stripes until piece measures 5 (6 ) [7] inches above armholes. End off, cut yarn Front Work as for back until 3 rows from the top. R1Shape neck 1st shoulder keeping in stripe pattern, work across 9 (10) [1l]sts. End off, cut yarn R2 and 3 continue in stripe pattern. Join first shoulder. Place front and back shoulder together. Slst across working through both layers. End off Cut yarn. 2nd shoulder. Skip center 18 (20) [22] stitches, join yarn and finish last three short rows of shoulder. Join seams with a row of slst Neck Edging. Join black in the right shoulder seam at neck edge. Make 7 dc along short rows of neck edge. 18 (20) [22]dc across front of neck, 7 dc along the other short rows. 18 (20) [22] Dc along the back neck. Join. End off sts, and dc around to other marker. ( 52 (54) /58lsts) Work in stripe pattern of two rows ofel olack and 2 rows of white until hood measureso /sts inches. Carry the varn along the close seam End off. Cut yarn. RiHood Casing Working from the inside of the hood, join yarn in the same st that the hood starts in. Ch 2. Working around hood, start by skipping the first st of the row on hood. Fold down the edge of hood and dc around the bar of the second dc st. Dc around the bar again. Continue around the edge of the hood, making 2 dc over the bar of the second st in each row around. Dc in the same st the hood ends in, Ch 1, turn

R2 is worked just in the front loop only for the whole row. This makes a crease, so the casing is easier tofold R2 Working in just the front loop for this whole row, make 2 sc in the first st. Sc around to the end of the row. Make 2 sc in last st. Ch1, turn R3 2 sc in first st. Sc in both loops across. 2 sc in last st. End off. Cut yarn leaving a tail long enough to sew top edge of casing to hood. Finishing for hood Weave in any loose threads along the front of the hood. Fold casing to the outside covering edge. The ends of casing should be long enough to over lap. Stretch starting edge down until it is even with the bottom of the black stripe on front. Pin around. Fold edge of casing over to the outside, covering the edge of the hood, and sew around. The two ends should cross over one in front of the other.

Make a magic circle with Black. Ch2 R1 11 dc in ring. Join with a slst in tp of beg ch. Ch 2 R2 & 3 2 dc in every dc around. Join, ch 2 (24 sts, 48 sts), R4 Dc in every st around. Join, ch3 R5 Dc in every st around. Join, ch3 R6 (2 dc in same sp. Dc in each of the next 2 spaces)around. 2Dc in the last sp, Join. Ch2 R7 Hdc in every st around. Join, ch 1 Sizes 2T and 3T only. (++4T follows below) R8 Join Jack and lining together. Layer jack and the lining together. Right side of lining should show through Jack's eyes. Pull up a loop from the lining through a dc on jack. Sew sleeves into armholes. Sew Jack Patch on back of hood, lining his eyes up with a black stripe. Pin pocket to front of sweater Sew across the center 3 inches at the top, and 9 inches measured around the perimeter at the bottom. Tie Holding black and white together make a chain 40 inches long Thread drawstring through casing, starting about 2 inches from bottom of hood. Tie knots at ends. Weave in loose ends

Sample was made with Red Heart Super Saver Yarn. It is a worsted weight 10 ply with 8 Wpi. H hook 5.00 mm9 %2 inches in Diameter Skelly Applique is made first and worked with a single thickness of yarn. Disk is worked with yarn held double to round 6. Then Skelly and the disk are worked through both thickness. Then the remaining rounds of the disk are made. Skelly Make a magic circle with white. Ch5 R1 Skelly Forehead 8 dbtr in the magic circle. R7 Join Skelly to disc Place skelly on top of disk, and pull black loop up thrugh a sc space on skelly. Ch 1 to join. Work around, working through both layers in sc to join the pieces together. There are about 5 stitches more on the back. Some of the white stitches will need to Worked in to twice .

R8 &9 (3 dc, 2 dc in the same sp) around. Join, ch1 R10 to 13 dc in every sp around. Join, ch1 R14 (3 dc, dc 2 tog ) around. Join, ch1 R15 (4 dc, dc 2 tog) around. Join, end off. Cut yarn
