TUR?iP HAT
I thought it would be fun to knit a hat that looked like a turnip!
Finished Size:
Approximately 53 cm (21 inches). The 2x2 rib makes this quite a stretchy hat. MC － WhiteCC - Pink
Instructions:
With MC cast on 48 sts. Place marker and join in the round, being careful not to twist stitches. Work 2x2 rib (k2, p2) for 9 rounds. Change to CC and continue $_{2\times2}$ rib for another 9 rounds. Next round: \*k7, k2tog, repeat from \* (42 sts) Next round: \*k6, k2tog, repeat from \* (36 sts) Next round: \*k5, k2tog, repeat from \* (30 sts) Next round: \*k4, k2tog, repeat from \* (24 sts) Next round: \*k3, k2tog, repeat from \* (18 sts) Next round: \*k2, k2tog, repeat from \* (12 sts) Next round: \*k1, k2tog, repeat from \* (6 sts) Next round: \* k2tog, repeat from \* (3 sts) Use the tapestry needle to run the yarn through the remaining sts and pull closed. Don't cut the tail off (use it to attach the pom pom). Using green yarn, make a 2 inch pom pom. Attach the pom pom to the top of the hat and wear with pride!
