VERDURE By Fluffy Fibers

++\*++\*+++++++++++++++++\* This design was born out of a love story with a yarn. The decadently soft fibre lent itself blissfully to smooth stockinette. The delicate, silvery green whispered the song of the wind in the young spring foliage. That is how this small botanical shawl came to be. Verdure is a softly rounded crescent shawlette knit with one skein of fingering yarn. The crescent shape is knit in stockinette, with 4 stitches increased on each right-side row and 2 stitches increased on each wrong-side row. The lace border is then cast on from the edge of the stockinette body and knit sideways, allowing for a quick, fuss-free bind-off, and a naturally stretchy edging. No seaming or picking-up of stitches is involved. Copyright 2015 Fluffy Fibers. All rights reserved.
NOTIONS
100 grams of fingering weight yarn. I used 92 grams of a 400-yard (366- metre) skein. Please consider you will be using slightly more yardage if you tend to knit loosely. Yarn used was Voolenvine Yarns Lush (2-ply, 80% merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon) in the Succulent colourway. The Lush base has since been replaced by Voolenvine Wolke (same fibre content, 4- ply,435yards). ·4-mm (US 6) circular needles, or size to obtain gauge. ·Stitch markers will help you spot the edge stitches, but are optional.

Finished dimensions:
170 wide x 30 cm high at the widest and highest points. GAUGE: 18 stitches = 10 cm after blocking.
