Ruffling eibon.
We create a "stitch" of ribbon yarn by piercing a few threads at the edge of the ribbon. The ribbon is“cast on"' to the needle that holds the live cotton stitches, alternating one ribbon stitch with one cotton stitch. Then knit a stitch of ribbon and a stitch of cotton together! Follow the steps below to add lovely ruffles. Set up: Cast on $1^{\mathrm{st}}$ stitch ofrion yarn by folding rawedge offabricinward and thenin halfto hide raw edges. Pierce the edgeof fabric with tip of working needle inserted from back to front. Next, slip (purlwise) $1^{\mathrm{st}}$ stitch of cotton from left needle to working needle. Continue as follows: Step.1: $^{\star}\mathrm{Cast}$ on one stitch of ribbon by impaling one edge of the ribbon yarn at points $1\ {^{1}\!/}4^{"}$ apart from each other (pierce about $1/16^{\mathrm{th}}$ inch from top edge from back to front to create a“stitch" seated in the correct direction. Slip one stitch of coton yarn. Repeat from \* to end of round. Step2: Nowwork the round by knitting the ribbon yarn stitch togetherwith the cottonyam stitch (k2tog). Repeat to end of round, casting on lastsitchin samemanneras $1^{\mathrm{st}}$ stich;foldingrawedge inward beforepiercing. Follow instructions for Crown Ruffle Rounds carefully.
