Made in red, white and "grinchy" green colors, this jacket featured a long funny hood with a big pom-pom, wide bell sleeves, zipper closure, cable and patchwork details... did I miss something?! ;)

SPECIAL STITCHES
Diagonals
For the diagonals work as foll: · At beg of every $2^{n d}$ row k2tog after edge st and at the end of every $2^{n d}$ row make 1 knitwise tbl before edge st. NOTE : These inc and dec form the diagonal shaping of scarf.
Lace patt
Rows 1, 2, 5: k Row3: $\ast\mathsf{k1}$ , yo (winding yarn around needle)\* rep from \* across. Row 4: $\ast\mathsf{k1}$ , slide off the needle $\mathsf{y}\mathsf{o}^{*}$ rep from \* across.
PATTERN
With A, CO 29 sts and work in diagonal garter st with stripes in colors as foll: Rows 1-11: black A

FINISHING
Knot fringes in each position on both sides where yarn tails were left as foll: cut $6^{\prime\prime}$ of 5-6 different yarn treads. Fold them in half, bring loop through garment, then loose treads through loop, picking up yarn tails. Pull up firmly. NOTE : A tutorial is available on p. 4.

1. Insert a crochet hook through the garment, from the wrong side of the garment to the top. Use the hook to grab the strands of yarn.

2. Use the hook to pull the yarn through the stitch.
