1 skein (About 170 yds.)worsted weight yarn(I used Vanna's Choice solids) Size G/4.25 mm crochet hook Two handles approx. 3" wide OR roped handles(optional)
Gauge:
4 sts/3 rows - 1" of sc
Abbreviations:
Ch - Chain Sl St - Slip Stitch Sc - Single Crochet Hdc - Half Double Crochet Dc - Double Crochet Rnd(s) - Round(s) St(s) - Stitch(es) FO - Fasten off
Pattern:
Ch 26 Rnd 1) Working in the front loops only, sc in the 2nd ch from hook and each ch across (25), turn work 180° so that you will be working in the back loops only now, sc across(25), sl st in first sc made to join (50 sts) Rnd 2) (From this point on work in the back loops only) Ch 2, hdc in same st as joined and each of the next 2 sts, \*sc in next st, dc in next 3 sts, sc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 3 sts\* Repeat from \*to\* around (NOTE: You'll end up finishing somewhere in the middle of a repeat), sl st in the first hdc (not the ch 2) to join Rnd 3) Ch 1, sc around, sl st in first sc to join Rnd 4) Ch 1, sc around through both loops for THIS ROUND ONLY, sl st in first sc to join For tall version:Repeat rnds 2-4 7x more For mini version:Repeat rnds 2-4 5x more If attaching handles: Rnd 25) Sc around Rnd 26) Working through both loops, sc 11, ch 2, skip 2 sts, sc 7, ch 2, skip 2 sts, sc 13, ch 2, skip 2 sts, sc 7, ch 2, skip 2 sts, sc 3, sl st in first sc to join FO yarn and weave in ends Attach handles using the holes just made.
