HAT
Rnd 1: With White and H hook, ch2, 6sc in $2^{n d}$ ch from hook. (6sc) Use a placemarker if desired. Rnd 2: 2sc in each sc around. (12sc) Rnd 3: 2sc in each sc around. (24sc) Rnd 4: 1sc in each sc around. (24sc) Rnd 5: \*1sc in the next sc, 2sc in next sc, \* rep from \* to \* around. (36sc) Rnd 6: 1sc in each sc around. (36sc) Rnd 7: \*1sc in each of the next 2sc, 2sc in next sc, \* rep from \* to \* around. (48sc) Rnd 8: 1sc in each sc around. (48sc) Rnd 9: \*1sc in each of the next 3sc, 2sc in next sc, \* rep from \* to \* around. (60sc) Rnd 10: 1sc in each sc around. (60sc) Rnd 11: 1sc in the backloops of each sc around. BOTTOM FROSTING TRIM
1sc in each of the next 3sc, ch4, count to the right 2 unworked loops, join with slst in that unworked loop, from rnd 22, work 4sc around ch4loop, skip 1sc on rnd 23, sc in next sc on rnd 23, \*ch4, skip next unworked loop on rnd 22, slst in the next unworked loop, work 4sc around ch4 loop, skip 1sc in rnd 23, sc in next sc on rnd $^{23\,\star}$ rep from \* to \* around. Slst to join. Fasten off tie in ends.
TOP FROSTING TRIM
With Lt Periwinkle Blue and H hook, attach yarn to any unworked loop from rnd 11 on hat. 1Sc in same st as joining, 1reverse sc in each unworked loop around. Slst to join. Fasten off and tie in ends. BEAR make arms and legs first Arms - make 2 Legs - make 2 Rnd 1: With Powder Blue and D hook, ch2, 5sc in $2^{n d}$ ch from hook.(5sc) Rnds 2-5: 1sc in each sc around. (5sc) Fold arm or leg flat, 1sc in both thicknesses in each of the next 2sc. Fasten off and tie in ends. You do not need the tail to sew with, you are going to crochet the them right to the body. Put aside for now.
HEAD AND BODY
Rnd 1: With powder blue and D hook, ch2, 5sc in $2^{n d}$ ch from hook. (5sc) use placemarker if desired. Rnd 2: 2sc in each sc around. (10sc) Rnd 3: 1sc in next sc, 4hdc in next sc,( $1^{s\dagger}$ ear) 1sc in each of the next 4sc, 4hdc in next sc, ( $2^{n d}$ ear)isc in each of the next 3sc. Rnd 4: 1sc in next sc, 1sc in behind bottom of $1^{s\dagger}$ ear, 1sc in each of the next 4sc, 1sc in behind bottom of $2^{n d}$ ear, 1sc in each of the next 3sc. (10sc) Rnds 5-6: 1sc in each sc around. (10sc) stuff head lightly Rnd 7: (Sc tog the next 2sc) $\times\,4$ more times. (5sc) Rnd 8: 2sc in each sc around. (10sc) Rnd 9: Adjust your sc so that your arms will line up under the ears, work 1sc in each sc around and at the same time, hold each arm up to body and sc thru both thicknesses to attach the arms to body. (10sc) Rnd 10: \*1sc in next sc, 2sc in next $s c^{\star}$ rep from \* to \*around. (15sc) Rnds 11-14: 1sc in each sc around. (15sc) Rnd 15: (sc tog the next 2sc) $\boldsymbol{x}$ 6times more, 1sc in last sc. (8sc) Stuff body lightly. Fold body in half, making sure that the leg point to the front of the bear. The front can be either side, depending which way you like the ears to be. Hold $1^{s\dagger}$ leg up to bottom of body and working thru all thicknesses, 1sc in each of the next 2sc, 1sc in next sc, pick up $2^{n d}$ leg and work the same as first leg. Fasten off leaving a tail to sew with. Sew face onto bear. Sew bear to top of cake in desired spot.
CANDLE
With H hook and one strand of white and one strand of royal blue held together, and H hook, ch 7, 1slst in $2^{n d}$ ch from hook, 1slst in each remaining ch. Fasten off leaving a tail to sew with.
FLAME
With H hook and yellow, attach yarn to top of candle, ch 4, 1slst in $2^{n d}$ ch from hook, 1hdc in each of the next 2ch. Fasten off and tie in ends.
DOTS
Rnd 1: With H hook and desired dot color, ch2, 6sc in $2^{n d}$ ch from hook. (6sc) Rnd 2: 2sc in each sc around. (12sc) Rnd 3: \*1sc in next sc, 2sc in next $s c^{\star}$ rep from \* to \* around. (18sc) Fasten off leaving a tail to sew with. To make different size dots, make some with only rnd 1, some with rnds 1-2..make as many as desired and in desired colors. Sew all dots onto hat in desired places.
