WOMEN'S MITTEN
Rnd 1: With H hook and grey heather, ch2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook. Continue in a spiral fashion, using a placemarker if desired. (6sc) Rnds 2-3: 2sc in each sc around. (24sc) Rnd 4-21: 1sc in each sc around. (24sc) Rnd 22: 1sc in each of the next 4sc, ch5, skip the next 4sc, 1sc in next sc, 1sc in each of the next 15sc. (20sc + 5ch) (thumb hole made) Rnd 23: 1sc in each of the next 4sc, 1sc in each of the next 4ch, 1sc in each of the next 16sc. (24sc) Rnds 24-28: 1sc in each sc around. (24sc) Rnd 29: 1sc in each sc around and at the same time dec 2sc anywhere on this rnd. (22sc) Rnd 30: 1sc in each sc around and at the same time dec 1sc anywhere on this rnd (21sc) Rnd 31: 1sc in each sc around and at the same time dec 1sc anywhere on this rnd (20sc) Rnds 32-34: 1sc in each sc around. WOMEN'S THUMB
Rnd 1: With H hook and grey heather, attach to a bottom st on thumb hole. 1Sc in each st around, working it out so that you have 12sc. (12sc) Rnd 2: 1sc in each sc around. (12sc) Rnds 3-4: 1sc in each sc around and at the same time dec 2sc anywhere on each rnd . (8sc) Rnds 5-6:.1sc in each sc around and at the same time dec 1sc anywhere on each rnd (6sc) Fasten off leaving a tail to sew with. Weave tail thru top stitchs to close the thumb. Tie in end.
