Sock pattern inspired by the snake dragon Pokémon. Azure dragons are originated in the korean mythology.

S: EU 36-39, 64 stitches M: EU 40-43, 68 stitches L: EU 44/45, 72 stitches The pattern is written for size S, M and L are the numbers in the ().
Materials
100g sock yarn, DPNs or magic loop in 2.5mm, tapestry needle
Abbreviations
K knit p purl ktog knit 2 together ssk slip 2 stitches as if to knit, knit the 2 stitches together through back loop
Techniques
Long-tail cast-on, increases, decreases, cables, kitchener stitch
Cuff
CO 64(68, 72) close the round (be careful not to twist). Needle 1+2 are in the front and needle 3+4 hold the stitches for the back of the sock. The back of the socks are different for the left and right sock. Repeat cuff pattern until desired length is reached.
Leg
Knit main pattern. Repeat until the desired leg length is reached. Stop after you've knit an uneven round.
Heel Flap
The heel flap is worked flat over needles 3+4. Knit the heel as written, or knit the heel in stockinette. Row 1: Turn your work, sl1 purlwise, k main pattern to end, turn. Row2: Sl1 knitwise, k main pattern to end, turn. Row3: Sl1 purlwise, k main pattern to end, turn. 31(33, 35) rows of the heel are knit. The last row is worked on the wrong side
Heel Turn
Row 1: Sl1 with yarn back, k16(18, 18), ssk, k1, turn. Row2: Sl1 with yarn front, p3(5, 3), ptog, p1, turn. Row3: Sl1 with yarn back, k to 1 stitch before the gap, ssk, k1, turn. Row4: Sl1 with yarn front, p to 1 stitch before the gap, ptog, p1, turn. Repeat Row 3 & 4 until all stitches are worked. (18(20, 20) stitches remain on needles 3+4)
jusset
New beginning of the round: Sl1 with yarn front, k17(19, 19), pick up and knit the stitches along the edge of the heel flap. Mark this spot as the new beginning. Round 1: K needle 1+2 in main pattern, pick up and knit the stitches along the edge of the heel flap (same count as the other side), k to the last 3 stitches of the round, ktog, k1. Round 2: K needle 1+2 in main pattern, k1, ssk, k to the end of the roun K needle 1+2 in main pattern, k to the last 3 stitches of the round, ktog, k1. Repeat Round 2 & 3 until 64(68, 72) stitches are left on all needles.
Foot
K needle 1+2 in main pattern, k to end. Repeat until the foot has the desired length. The toe is 4cm (1 inch) long. (If you want to calculate yourexact toe length: it is worked over 18(20, 22) rounds)
Toe
Continue the main pattern on the toe. Or knit the toe in stockinette. e the stitches for the upper side of the sock. Needle 3+4 hold the sole stitches Round 1: (needle 1+2) K1, ssk, k main pattern to the last 3 stitches on needle 2, ktog, k1, (needle 3+4) k1, ssk, k to the last 3 stitches on needle 4, ktog, k1. Round 2: (needle 1+2) K2, k main pattern to the last 2 stitches on needle 2, k2, (needle 3+4) k to end. Repeat round 1 & 2 until 48(52, 56) stitches are left. Repeat round 1 until 16 stitches are left. Break yarn, close the toe with kitchener stitch. Weave in all ends. Knit the second sock.

Variations
For multicolored yarns you can continue with the ribbing pattern for the insides of the diamonds. Or you can knit them in stockinette.
