This pattern uses US crochet terms Chain ch Slip stitch sl st Single crochet SC Half-double crochet hdc Space sp Round rnd Yarn Vanna's Choice by Lion Brand Yarn, or any worsted weight yarn Color A-“Cranberry" Color B -“Linen" Hook F - 4.0mm (gauge is not very important unless you want the exact finished size - what is more important is having a tight enough gauge to minimize holes between stitches) Finished Size 3" tall; 4.5" with loop Gauge 1st four rounds = approx 2" diameter
Special notes
End each round with a slip stitch to join round to first stitch. Then chain 1, put first stitch (or two stitches if on an increase) in the same stitch you just slip stitched into. Do not turn between rounds, just keep working in the same direction. If you want to make a single-color mushroom, do not change colors after rnd 9. Round 1 begins with the magic ring. There are plenty of tutorials online on how to do this skill and it's a great skill to have, but I understand if you don't have the patience or time to learn a new skill. Instead, you can substitute "ch 2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook, join with sl st to first sc" for round 1.
