BIG Man Hat
My husband wanted a hat that would actually fit around his 23 1/4" head. Most men's hat patterns I found on the internet were too small even in the largest size.SoI mademy own. finished it off with some fancypants double decreases because I like how they mimic the look of the non-handmade beanie. We all know which is superior though! Yarn; 220 yards KnitPicks Wool of the Andes Kettle Dyed in Timber or 220 yards any worsted weightyarn. Needle size: US 6 16" circulars or DPNs. CO 110. Place marker at beginning of round.t Join and begin. working in the round. Work 3"" of k3p2 ribbing. Switch to stockinette and knit an additional 7". Next round: K2tog, k53, repeat once. Next round: \*K2tog, k23, ssk\*. Place marker. Repeat from \* to \*. You should have four sections of knitting. Be sure one marker is different from the others to denote the beginning of the round. Next round: Knit plain. Next round: \*K2tog, knit to the last 2 stitches, ssk\*. Repeat from \* to \*. Next round: Knit plain. And so on, alternating decrease rows with rows of plain knitting until you're down to 12 stitchesi. Cut youryarn and draw it through the live stitches, weave in the ends, and make somebiglughappy.
