Sparky the Firecracker
A Purple Bird Crochet Pattern
Materials:
WW Yarn in Red, White, Blue and Yellow \* Hook Size F \* 9 mm Safety eyes or Fabric Paint\* Polyfil for stuffing \* Yarn Needle for sewing in ends
Difficulty Level:
Intermediate
Gauge:
Gauge is not critical as long as your stitches are nice and tight so the stuffing doesn't show through. If you use the recommended hook size and your stitches look too loose as though your stuffing will show through you may need to go down a hook size. If your stitches are very tight and difficult to get your hook through try going up a hook size.
Stitches & Abbreviations Used :
St - Stitch Sc - Single Crochet - insert hook into stitch, YO & pull up a loop, YO & pull through al loops on hook SS - Slip Stitch - insert hook into stitch, YO and pull up and through loop on hook FO - Finish off - knot end and sew in tail Rnd - Round Sc2Tog - Insert hook through front loop only of next 2 sts, DO NOTYO in between stitches, YO once you have inserted through 2nd front loop, pull through both front loops, YO and pull through all loops on hook. (All decreases in this pattern will be done with an
Sparky the Firecracker

Notes:
Amigurumi patterns can be made with any size yarn. I strongly encourage you to experiment with different weights and hooks and discover the wide array or friends you can create just by changing yarn. I recommended that you read through the entire pattern before you begin so as to have an idea of how your Amigurumi will be assembled as you go. Be sure to make pieces in the order they are listed so that you are ready to crochet in parts as the pattern calls for it.
