ChiwaluvAmigurumiCritters @ 2012 Sherry Moore HANDLE: 1-30 mm skewer Grey yarn and dk brown 1. With pointy end push shovel onto the skewer, with pointy end out the top of the shovel measure and cut off 3 inches of the skewer with the point. Pull skewer to the inside of the shovel. ( I use a hot glue gun and glue sticks to attach skewer to shovel. 2. Begin with grey yarn wrapping double strands, on skewer at base of the shovel for 1 inch, add a tiny amount of hot glue Or elmers glue, to hold in place as you wrap. DO NOT PULL THE YARN TO TIGHT as you wrap, just use an even tension - you might want to practice a bit , before you start glueing yarn into place. Now finish the handle in dk brown wrapping in the same way . Ta Da! A nice forest fire fighting Shovel.
