Note: 2 strands of each color were held together a bulky weight yarn. A single strand of bulky would work well, too!
Pattern Information
The interesting Chevron Pattern is created by working 2 sts in A, then 2 sts in B, bringing the new yarn over the current yarn for half of the stitches, then bringing the new yarn under the current yarn. In future rows reverse this process to form the chevrons. In honor of Caribou Coffee's roastmaster Amy Erickson, who lost her fight with Breast Cancer in I995, Caribou Coffee donates 10% of all Amy's Blend products to Cancer Care. For each use of the hashtag #CaribouKnits an inch will be knit on a scarf as a gift to a person suffering with Breast Cancer. I designed this pattern as part of the #CaribouKnits hashtag campaign. Use this free pattern to knit up a scarf for a friend who could use a little warmth! And knit one for yourself, you'll enjoy all of the great compliments!

With A, knit all sts (creating 2 rows of garter)
Rows 7 & 8
With B, knit all sts (creating 2 rows of garter) Repeat rows I-8 twice more (three times total, 24 rows) then work rows I-4 once (total 28 rows total in the scarf) Bind off all sts loosely with Color B.
Finishing
Weave in ends and wear! Now you have a cool scarf that's easy to knit and looks great on both sides. AND you've mistressed a really fun technique that will mystify and amaze your knitting friends (until they figure out how easy this technique actually is!)
