I needed a gift for Baby Grady when he was born, so / whipped up these little mittens at the request of his mother. Dig in your stash for some leftover sock yarn-these take very little yarn to make! -Gunilla

Size U.S. 2 (3mm) needles (either DPN's or 32" circular For magic loop) Small amount of sock yarn (approx. 14 grams) Darningneedle Cast on 32 stitches, join in the round. Rounds 1 - 3: Purl Rounds 4 - 7: \*K2 P2\* around Round 8: \*K2 P2tog\* around Rounds 9 - 14: \*K2 P1\* around Round 15: \*Kl Kfb P1\* around Rounds 16 - 17: Knit Round 18: \*Kfb, K14, Kfb\* around Round 19: Knit Round 20: \*Kfb, K16, Kfb\* around Rounds 21 - 30: Knit Round 31: \*K1, skp, K14, K2tog, K1\* around Rounds 32 - 24: Knit Round 33: \*K1, skp, K12, K2tog, K1\* around Rounds 34 - 35: Knit Round 36: \*K1, skp, K10, K2tog, K1\* around Rounds 37 - 38: Knit Round 39: \*K1, skp, K8, K2tog, K1\* around Rounds 40 - 41: Knit Round 42: \*K1, skp, K6, K2tog, K1\* around Kitchener stitch remaining stitches together. Weave in ends. Make a second mitt. Put on cute baby and coo, see above!
