Sizes: Small (Medium, large) Knitted Measurements: Bust 38"(40", 44") 97cm(101cm, 111cm) Materials: KnitPicks CotLin DK yarn (70% Tanguis Cotton 30% Linen; 123 yds per 50 gram ball) 3 balls Nightfall 2 balls Chartreuse 2 balls Whisper 3 balls Swan One #8 29"' circular needle, 4 #8 DPNs (or size needed to obtain gauge) Tapestry needle Stitsch markers Gauge: 20 sts and 22 rounds = 4” using #8 needles Instructions: Using Nightfall, CO 192 (200, 224) sts placing st marker at beginning and halfway points of sts 96 (100, 1120. K4 rounds. Take care not to twist sts. Next round, YO, k2tog around. K 7” more using Nightfall then, following CHART A, knit Pointillism design introducing Chartreuse (rounds 1-9 of chart—8 sts per repeat, 24(25, 28) repeats per round). Knit Chartreuse for 3" more. Following CHART A, rounds 10-17, introduce Whisper as you did Chartreuse. K Whisper for 3” more. Following CHART A, rounds 18-25, introduce Swan as you did Chartreuse and Whisper. Steek: Now you will begin working armholes by knitting steeks. Continuing using Swan, CO 4 sts, k across back to marker, CO 4 sts, move marker, CO 4 more sts. K across front to marker, CO 4 sts. K around 9" using Swan, knitting body sts plus all the CO steek sts. BO all sts. Sleeves: Make 2. Worked in the round. With Swan, CO 95 sts on DPNs. Place marker at beginning of round being careful not to twist sts. Follow Chart B, matching number of color rounds to number of color rounds on tunic body. Dec as shown to 70 sts. Then YO, k2tog around. K 4 more rounds with Nightfall. BO. Construction and finishing: Wet block pieces. Carefully cut up center of steeks, secure steek sts with machine stitching or close basting sts. Machine st or carefully hand stitch shoulder seams one inch deep. Leave desired, wide neck opening. Turn under one inch and, with Swan, hem st under to complete neck. For bottom hem and sleeve hem, turn under 4 knit rounds at YO rounds. This forms the picot edges. Hem st in place using Nightfall yarn. Handsew sleeves to armhole openings, turning under stek edges and shoulder seams as you go. Tie in all yarn join ends.
